Melinda A. Geary

Education

A foundation in High School education and over 30 years of dedicated legal experience.

Mindy Geary joined Mullen & Henzell in 2006 as a legal secretary in the Estate Planning Department. In 2015 Mindy was promoted to a paralegal position in the same Estate Planning department. Her primary work focus is on post-death trust and estate administration.

Mindy has been working in the field of estate planning since her debut as a legal secretary for an East coast law firm in 1986. Upon her return to California in 1988, she worked for a local Santa Barbara boutique firm and honed her skills in estate planning, real estate and business law. Mindy has an Attorney Declaration recognizing her as a certified paralegal in accordance with California’s paralegal requirements. Today, she enjoys the intricate, delicate “dance” of assisting Mullen & Henzell’s attorneys and clients with the administration of often complex estates. Mindy assists the firm with trainings of other support staff within the department.

Community Involvement

Mindy has enjoyed community involvement in the Santa Barbara area through her church, primarily through working with children and youth, assisting in fund-raising for the local Boys and Girls Club, and serving Santa Barbara’s homeless society. She enjoys time with her children and grandchildren, husband Sean, and enjoys several creative pursuits.
